The beach of Agios Mercurios is located in southern Evia below the village of Octavia which ends at the famous rock called “Kefala” because of its appearance.
Agios Mercourios or “Markouri” which is further east and is essentially an extension of Mourteri, is an even more pristine sandy beach, particularly satisfying to the eye.
You will swim in clear blue and crystal clear waters and lie on a fine and colourful layer of small pebbles, which, together with the amazing rock formations in the sea, complete a scenery that is rarely found on the island. The surrounding area seems almost inhospitable and has a wild beauty, with the imposing cliffs rising above the sea.
